Dr. Maria Vazquez-Scott is a family medicine physician at MetroSouth Medical Center, practicing in the new Beverly health center. Dr. Vazquez-Scott grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to New Jersey at age 12, eventually making her way to Chicago. After attending University of Illinois at Chicago for undergraduate studies, she graduated from medical school at St. Matthew’s University and completed her residency at Southern Illinois University. Dr. Vazquez-Scott specializes in working with diabetic and high blood pressure patients. In her free time, she enjoys salsa dancing, cake decorating, gardening and spending time with her fiancé. Dr. Vazquez-Scott is fluent in Spanish and English.
