Dr. Humaira Khan is a family medicine physician at MetroSouth Medical Center in the Alsip health center.  Dr. Khan grew up in Pakistan where she earned her medical degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College.  While her medical background is in obstetrics, Dr. Khan also has worked in OBGYN, ophthalmology and psychiatry.  She has spent time setting up camps for people in underserved areas in Pakistan.  Dr. Khan speaks five languages: English, Hindi, Urdu, Pashto and Punjabi.  She enjoys running, hiking, reading, traveling, cooking and spending time with her 4-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son.  Her specialty dish is a rice and chicken dish called Biryani.
