Dr. Brister-Brown
Dr. Marie Brister-Brown is a family medicine physician at MetroSouth Medical Center in the Morgan Park health center. She is very interested in pediatric and adolescent medicine, women’s care, geriatrics and management of hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and heart disease. She is an advocate of early screening and proactive, preventive care. She offers holistic medicine and alternative therapies as a compliment to traditional medical practices.
The Chicago native attended Tuskegee University and currently serves as treasurer for the Chicago Tuskegee Club. She also attended The Chicago Medical School and performed her family medicine residency at Resurrection/St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Brister-Brown is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Inc. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling and spending time with her husband and two-year-old son. Dr. Brister-Brown, who currently lives in the Beverly neighborhood, is a big fan of Chicago sports. Her favorite teams are the Chicago Bulls, Bears and White Sox.
