We are living longer and leading more active lives than ever before. As we age, our bodies and minds can change dramatically. Fortunately, there are many ways we can stay healthy.
The most important step is to find a board-certified physician who understands the aging process. Geriatricians are trained to treat patients with conditions that are just a normal part of aging and those that may be a more serious medical problem.
At the MetroSouth Adult & Senior Outpatient Health Center, specially trained, board-certified physicians are experts in health care for seniors and patients with geriatric syndrome, which occurs when a patient has one or more related medical problem and is not necessarily a senior. These issues can include vision and hearing problems, bladder difficulties, dizziness and dementia.
The Center’s physicians treat a full-range of conditions, from chronic pain to heart conditions. They administer physicals and order appropriate labs and radiologic procedures to insure proper diagnosis and care. The convenience and expertise of the MetroSouth Adult & Senior Outpatient Health Center can make life easier and healthier for both the patient and his/her family.
