Dr. Robert Iaffaldano Discusses Peripheral Artery Disease

Peripheral artery disease or PAD affects approximately 12-20 percent of adult Americans over 65 years of age. Despite the large numbers of seniors with the disease, less than 25% of them are undergoing treatment. The consequences of untreated peripheral artery disease are serious and include risks of heart attack, stroke and even death.

Listen to Dr. Robert Iaffaldano, interventional cardiologist at MetroSouth Medical Center discuss the recommended screening procedures for patients at risk for PAD.
